Dortmund West, where the Sauerland line A 45 (Frankfurt-Dortmund) crosses the Ruhr expressway B 1 / A 40. To the west, the university is thus connected to the dense freeway network of the Ruhr area and, beyond that, to the regions of the Lower Rhine or the Netherlands.
